Dear Reader,

A gray wolf family may be more similar to yours than you might think.

They’re centered around two parents who lead the pack, raise their pups, and bring food back to the den.

They don’t do this alone. Aunts, uncles, siblings, and older children all do their part to help keep the pack safe, warm, and fed.

But in the Northern Rockies, even the most close-knit of wolf families can’t defend itself from hunters equipped with rifles, helicopters, snowmobiles, traps, and cyanide bombs.

That’s where Environmental Action comes in: Will you make a Giving Tuesday donation to help protect gray wolves and their families?

Help protect America's gray wolves. Donate today

Across the Northern Rockies, wolves have lost nearly all of their federal protections. The results have been devastating.

Since 2021, more than 1,400 wolves have been killed in Idaho. In Montana, hunters killed nearly 300 wolves in a single season, and the state has set a goal to kill 450 more this year.

And across almost all of Wyoming, wolves can be shot without a permit, license, or limit, even when they cross the border from protected areas, such as Yellowstone National Park.

Every hunting season weakens packs, scatters family groups, and pushes recovery further out of reach.

This isn’t wildlife management, it’s slaughter.

That’s why we’re raising our voices and calling for an end to these cruel killings. Will you add your voice to our call by making a Giving Tuesday gift?

We’re working to change this tragic story. Environmental Action and our supporters are doing everything we can to protect gray wolves and put an end to this slaughter. Together we’re:

mobilizing Americans across the country to stand up and speak out against these killings in the Northern Rockies,
opposing legislation like U.S. Representative Lauren Boebert’s bill to erase protections for wolves and open the door to wolf hunting across the Lower 48, and
urging decision-makers to enact stronger protections for wolves across the country.

With your support, we can work to protect wolf families across Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and beyond, ensuring these intelligent, incredible creatures can recover and raise their pups without fear.

Donate today to help us protect America’s remaining gray wolves.

Thank you for standing with America’s wolves,

The Environmental Action team

Your donation will be used to stand up for wildlife and the wild places it calls home, and to support all of our campaigns to protect our environment. The generosity of people just like you is what makes all of our work possible.
